System Transition
Moving from one accounting or payroll system can be tricky. Actually sometimes the hardest part is choosing the correct software for your needs. In fact identifying your needs is tricky too because you often don’t realise the range and complexity of information you can extract from a well thought out system. So many clients want so much and then they don’t use 80% of the information.
Another common costly consideration, often clients request historical data to be imported to the system – which is not a problem, but the cost versus the added value is sometimes out of skew. Our advice is to review the timing of the installation so you get best value from historical data imports.
Our software transition programme often starts in a consultative mode where we assess your needs, evaluate the results you want and offer guidance to best practice and software.
In some cases your decisions are already made, however you do not have the resources or capability to transition from one software to another – we can make the step for you.
Experience
Our experience ranges from small installations of simple accounting systems to being part of our client’s global software implementation team with input to Ireland the UK migration.
Moving a 15 million turnover manufacturing and distribution company who processed their transactions on a tailored DOS accounting system to Netsuite – “NetSuite is the leading integrated cloud business software suite, including business accounting, ERP, CRM and ecommerce software” This was a high volume, detailed orientated project that required 24 months historical data including all stock movement and BOM transactions. Opening debtors and creditors were also aged with receipt and payment allocations accuracy critical to the success of the project. Finance Services managed this project from cradle to grave successfully.
Migrating from Sage 50 to Sage 200 for a franchisor and 4 franchisee’s
Migrating 2,000 employee payroll from a UK company who had outsourced payroll to India and we transitioned this back to Ireland – this highly complicated project was completed on time and within budget but also identified several error relating to BIK and tax issues.
We have processed many TUPE payroll transitions where we had very tight timeframes and high volume of staff numbers, with added complexity in some cases of multiple companies being involved.
